How We Serve

How we shape the future of academic internal medicine

Helping Members
Lead & Succeed

Members of the Alliance train and support the largest percentage of the future US physician workforce.

Members of the Alliance train and support the largest percentage of the future US physician workforce. The Alliance supports them by offering career and skill development opportunities, as well as opportunities to collaborate with peers and engage in meaningful projects, including research and publication. All the work we do is aimed at helping our members shape the future of academic internal medicine.

In addition to these programs, the Alliance serves members by providing a full menu of valued opportunities. For example, our mentoring initiative gives seasoned professionals the chance to share their expertise with a mentee. And our annual series of in-person conferences offer education, professional networking, fresh challenges and time for renewal. The Alliance also hosts member-only online discussion communities and supports several member-recognition programs.

“We offer members the tools they need to be effective leaders in their chosen careers. When people are fully engaged in the work they do, they are much more likely to find satisfaction and rewards in their professional lives.”
